The Talbot County School District is launching a strategic planning process and is seeking input from citizens, staff, parents, students, and civic leaders.
“Community feedback will play a vital role in shaping a plan that reflects the priorities and aspirations of the district and its stakeholders,” said Superintendent Jonathan Taylor .
There will be two opportunities for the community to share input. The first will be an in-person planning session scheduled for Thursday, Apr. 30 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the CEHS Cafeteria. Citizens, staff, parents, and students are invited to participate in a group discussion focused on identifying priorities and opportunities for the future of the district.
For those unable to attend the in-person meeting, an online survey will also be available. A link to the survey will be posted on the district website, www.talbot.k12.ga.us, the day following the meeting.
All community input gathered through both opportunities will be reviewed by a planning team composed of school staff and community members. This team will use the feedback to help develop the district’s vision, mission, beliefs, and strategic goals.
“It is critical to have as many voices at the table as possible so that our strategic plan will truly represent all of our district’s stakeholders,” Taylor said.
