* This Do In Remembrance Of Me *
Greetings and blessings! “Then He (Jesus) took the bread, spoke a blessing and broke it, and gave to them (Apostles), saying, ‘This My body, given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’’’ (Luke 22:19). And in (1 Corinthian 11:25), it refers to the cup or wine where Jesus says, “This cup/wine is a new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, you do in remembrance of me.” It was Jesus’ blood that was shed for the forgiveness of our sin. (Read Matthew 26:28).
So, today I come with the finality of a series of deep enlightenment on the biblical and spiritual significant of Jesus’s death, burial, resurrection and ascension into Heaven. I certainly pray that you’ll gain perhaps some or more knowledge of the amazing, more so, the divine crucifixion of our Lord, and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

However, nowadays, little if any details are mentioned in church communions now as to the essentiality of why we do this remembrance memorial. But in contrast, I remember very well when preachers took extreme effort and endless time. And perhaps for some, maybe too long, teaching about the significant, the reason and seriousness for this sacred memorial of Jesus’ sacrificial death.
In fact, I remember, personally being scared to and scared not to partake. Therefore, in my studies, it tells that on the night Jesus died, He shared a Passover meal with His apostles, during the meal, Jesus gave fresh meaning to the bread and wine, identifying it as symbols of His impending (upcoming) death.
The taking of the bread and cup/wine proclaims the Lord’s death. It is taught that believers participate in the body and blood of Christ.
Therefore, as modern Christians, we should; Participate faithfully whenever we gather for the Supper; Prepare through repentance and reconciliation; Engage mind and heart-recall the cross, anticipate the crown; Invite unbelievers to observe and hear the gospel embodied; Live the remembrance daily. “Do This In Remembrance Of Me” commands ongoing, communal, Christ-centered remembrance that looks back to Calvary, and unites believer in present grace. And again, Christ himself originates and commands the practice, placing it at the heart of Christians worship (Act 2:42). Please take this memorial seriously. So let us examine ourselves and not drink damnation to our soul! Read 1 Corinthian 11:28. Thank You Lord!
