*2025 Graduates: Where Do You Go From Here? *

Greetings and blessings! Congratulations to all of you outstanding, remarkable graduates! And I’m especially proud and grateful for our CEHS 2025 graduates, my Alma Mater, formerly Ruth Carter. Apparently, you’ve reached a point of no return; either to fail or succeed in life. And the question before is, Where do I go from here? In fact, some of you perhaps are all excited, thinking “I got it made now!” but not so. You see, you’ve reached the critical stage of your life now that transitions you from childhood to young adulthood. But however, graduates don’t let the world of uncertainty scare you because the fact is nothing is certain but death. If you live, you will die! But if you strongly trust, lean and depend on God, He’ll take care of you.

Shatner Did, But Perry Didn’t? Is That Right?

Back in October of 2021, I wrote a column regarding the flight of actor William Shatner aboard a Blue Origin capsule into space. At the time, Shatner was 90 years old and set (and still holds) the record for the oldest person ever to go into space. The flight was not unlike the first two Mercury flights in 1961 - suborbital, up-and-down journeys that crossed the Kármán Line. That’s the official international designation between Earth’s atmosphere and what we would consider space, and if you go above that, you have been in space and are (unofficially at least) an astronaut.

Easy to Get Into, Difficult to Get Out Of…

As a reporter, there are times you have to write those bad news stories, and sometimes they are about people you know, and that makes it even more difficult. That was the case for me last week when I had to write about a teenager I’ve watched grow and develop over the years being arrested. Writing bad news is not a fun part of the job, but it has to be done. Having to write something bad about someone you know make it even more difficult. It has happened to me several times over the years, but it never gets easier to do.

Did the assassin of a president try to say that the doctors who attended him actually killed him?

It’s fun to realize that in just over a month, summer begins. I do enjoy summer, and I imagine you do as well.  Spring has always been my favorite season, as I find that the farther I get into my dotage, the less I enjoy very hot, humid weather. But summer has much to recommend it as well. Speaking of recommending, may I suggest some trivial information for you to enjoy? I’ve unearthed some fresh tidbits for this week, and I do hope you enjoy them. And if you’re of a mind to do so, you can write me at didyouknowcolumn@gmail.com and I always reply, usually quickly.

I Saw This Movie Several Times; Hated the Ending

It’s coming. It’s coming to take over the world. It’s coming to take over the world and we are allowing it - nay, encouraging it to happen. It’s … Artificial Intelligence. Yes, AI is coming, and let me tell you … it’s scary.

Mothers Day Prayers With Blessing And Love

Greetings and blessings! Especially to dear mothers and everyone! My sweet dear mother passed away 10 years ago, this year. But yet still, I’m so grateful for all the mothers God has placed in my life over the years. So today I’m honored to share prayers for the today’s precious mothers. However, don’t take it for granted if you are blessed to have a living mother that’s good to you and love you too. Now then, go to her right now and tell her just how much you love her. Because “A real good mother is so hard to fine,” of course I know and sure do miss mine.
