According to the Benton County Enterprise in Missouri, Wright is a student at John Boise Middle School (JBMS) in Warsaw. She was crowned Princess of America Nationals in July.
According to the Enterprise news story, in the national competition, Wright will compete in interview, beauty, on stage question, and personal introduction. Her optional areas include photogenic, pink carpet wear and casual wear. In the superstar competition she will showcase her talent of dancing.
Wright was drawn into the pageant world after winning the Jubilee Days Little Miss and Jr. Miss contests right here in Warsaw. She commented that she had so much fun in the Jubilee Days contests that she wanted to try them on a larger scale.
Wright is using her platform, “Glittering Acts of Kindness,” to spread kindness in her community, her state and her country.
“Glittering Acts of Kindness is all about doing little things to spread kindness and make someone’s day better. Even small stuff; like holding the door, giving a compliment, or just being there for someone can really make a difference. One kind act at a time can add up to something really big,” she said.
Wright is currently spreading her platform by reading at local elementary schools because teaching the next generation about kindness is so important to her.
During her reign, Wright recently spoke at the suicide prevention 5k about how spreading kindness can help with bullying in schools. She also donated food and 20 hygiene bags to the JBMS Wildcat Closet.
“Being in the pageant gave me more confidence in speaking in front of a crowd,” said Wright.
Her future hopes and plans are to move to Los Angeles when she is older and become a professional dancer.
