* Our Son Juan Kelvin Death 3rd Anniversary *
Greeting and blessings to my family and friends! Of course, we miss Juan so much. Sometime three years feel like three decades, then again, the certain thought and pain can be more like three days. However, anniversaries come in all shapes, sizes and fashions, some good and others, not so good. This anniversary of my son Juan Kelvin sudden death three years ago, March 3rd is one forever remembered. In fact, we will always recognize, honor and remember and most importantly, be grateful to God for giving us the precious 46 years of time we had with him. Most people called him by his first name Juan, but for me, he was always my Kelvin.

Juan name was drawn from his mother’s name Juanita. And his only biological sister Allison middle name is Prestina, taken from my name Pres. Thank God, we were tremendously blessed with a loving son, Allison with a only brother, Peggy with a dear, supportive husband with 3 beautiful children: JaLisa, Tyanna and Kayla. Kayla, the baby girl graduated from High School just months after her dad’s sudden passing. She was obviously extremely saddened with disappointment and “broken heart.” (Psalms 34:18). Praise God, Kayla is doing well in her 3rd year at the University of Southern AL (Mobile).
Howbeit, we keep Juan Kelvin alive in our heart. Even though, all the special events and holidays certainly took a different meaning with his absence. In fact, I previously wrote stories of my son;” My Son Juan, Gone Much Too Soon” then a week later, I wrote, “My Son Juan Kelvin (Batman) Laid To Rest” the day we had our final glimpse and said goodbye, see you later. Then I would write “Grace and More Grace” which God has and still are granting us each and every day. Indeed, His unwavering grace (ability and strength) is immeasurable, Thank You Lord! Later on, Father’s Day, “Sometimes Good Memories Are All We Have Left…Happy Father’s Day Son!” Then in August I wrote “Happy Heavenly Birthday My Son…Gone But Never Ever Forgotten!” And for Thanksgiving; “So Thankful For The Goodness Of God!” “The Goodness of God” is my favorite song telling of God’s unwavering grace and mercy that never failed me/us yet. And for Christmas, I wrote “A Christmas Without the Ones We Love…Merry Christmas Son!” Again, on Kelvin’s anniversary, we all come together at the graveside to spend quality time, remember and pray. Praise God, he will forever live in our hearts as long as we continue to remember and call his name. Good, treasured memories can make significant differences in the healing process and moving forward. As for me, I literally hold on dearly to a key chain that says, “God has you in His arms Son, I/we have you in my/our heart.” Absolutely! Do know, to lose a child is excruciating pain, I mean real pain that only a parent can feel. So, we embrace and share in the parent’s loss of a child! God’s grace be with us!
