Greetings and blessings! Congratulations all 2026 Honor Graduates! We are so extremely proud and grateful to acknowledge your challenging achievements and accomplishments. Perhaps you are now thinking, “I got it made now” or maybe saying, “It’s all over now” but be not deceived (misled). Surprise! Surprise! Spoiler alert, it’s just the beginning! Yes, your riding days are over and you must now take hold of the wheel. Graduates, you are about to embark on a challenging journey that will have many stops, blocks, adversities and disappointments along the way. So then, I strongly encourage you to be vigilant, alert, focused and most of all, prayerful. And please don’t go to sleep or let go of the wheel! It’s essential that you make good, sensible, positive and thoughtful choices to aggressively achieve your dream and ambitions. Most importantly, petition God for guidance and trust His Word, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me” (Philippians 4:3) and “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalms 37:4). In fact, these are godly sound doctrines that will never fail and are not found in textbooks but in God’s Holy book, the Bible. Graduates, certainly there will be times when you want to quit or give up, turn around and head for home. But there’s a true quote, “Quitters never win and winners never quit” and “If first you don’t succeed, then try again.” Graduate, I believe in “you”, so, you must also believe in “you” too. “Believe and Achieve.”
Once again, I vividly remember a poem from high school, “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost that impacted me. It tells of two roads diverged (split-off), he couldn’t travel both, so he takes the one less traveled and it ultimately made all the necessary differences. In other words, “Going with the crowd is not always the right road to take.” Nevertheless, whatever road, you’ll need something money cannot buy, that’s God’s sustainable grace and mercy. So then, when you come to the road that points in all directions, pause and ask God; do listen attentively, “He will direct your path” (Proverb 3:5,6). More so, be kind and humble on the road, Luke 18:14 says “Those who humble themselves shall be exalted (elevated)…” Also pack a good, gentle attitude with integrity and respect. And too, character is imperative; it helps you “Do the right thing when no one is looking.” Honor Graduates, no doubt the road will get bumpy; it will take relentless efforts, unwavering courage, self-confidence, perseverance and endurance to travel on. Graduates, I fervently pray that something said will make an enormous, significant, encouraging and genuine difference. God’s Word and promises which are a sure map (GPS) for the challenging road ahead. Now a meaningful song of assurance, “Nobody told me that the road would be easy, but I don’t believe He (God) brought me (you) this far to leave me,” NO! God surely didn’t! So again, just be the best “you”, you can be!. May God grant you an abundance of success and happiness! Thank You Lord!
